Draco (The Dragon) |
There are many legends surronding Draco the dragon. One states that he was placed by Queen Hera as a guardian of her golden apples, which were given to her by Gaia as a wedding present. In one of Hercule's twelve labors he killed the dragon with a posionous arrow. This allowed Atlas, his accomplis, to steal the golden apples. As a reward for his faithful service Hera placed Draco in the heavens.
In another legend he was a Titan and played a part in the war between the Titans and the gods. In an attempt to free is brother he hurled rocks on top of the gods. After a while Athena, the goddess of wisdom, stopped the fight. She grabbed Draco by the tail and threw his up into the heaven's above.
