The first of Hercules' 12 labors was to kill Leo, the lion. He had come from the moon in the form of a meteor and had been destorying the Corinth coutryside. Hercules traveled to the lion's well know layer which contained two entrances. At first Hercules shot an arrow at the lion's heart but it just bounced off. The Lion's hide was so tough it was impenitrible to any weapons.
Hercules then sealed off one entrance to the cave and entereted the other one trapping Leo. The hero's inhuman strength allowed his to strangle the lion and kill him. He then skinned the lion and wore the tough skin as armour. Hera was so mad at Hercules' success she put the soul of Leo in the heavens.
